Life-Changing Programs That Need YOUR Support.

Right now, there’s a neighbor in Southeast Raleigh who needs what you have to offer. Maybe it’s a mom choosing between groceries and rent. A teenager looking for somewhere safe to belong. A woman trying to escape a dangerous situation. A family one paycheck away from homelessness.

Common questions from community partners and supporters:

Social workers and community partners can contact us directly at admin@shipoutreach.org or call 919.926.7896. Most of our programs are walk-in friendly with no paperwork required. For housing assistance through Jimmy Carroll House, please call for privacy purposes.

We’re community connectors who fill gaps by linking people to the right resources. While we provide essential services like food and housing, our strength is knowing the network of Raleigh nonprofits and connecting clients to specialized help they need. We don’t try to do everything. We ensure people get connected to the best local organizations for their specific situation, whether that’s job training, healthcare, legal aid, or other support.

Consider becoming a Ship Sustainer with monthly giving. This provides stable funding that allows us to plan long-term and respond quickly to emergencies. Donations of $100+ monthly qualify for our Captain’s Circle with updates on impact. Your donations directly support our neighbors through our comprehensive programs across Southeast Raleigh.

The best way to make an impact is serving where you’re gifted. Love connecting with people? Our Blue Vest volunteers build relationships on the Treasures Boutique sales floor or serve warm meals at Kozy Corner on Thursdays. Enjoy mentoring? Ship Leadership Academy offers deeper engagement working with youth in our after-school program. Prefer focused, behind-the-scenes work? Our warehouse team organizes and distributes food and clothing – essential work that keeps everything running smoothly.
